Berry excited!

Kennedy had just finished her battle with the Gym leader, and had won her first badge. She decided to go to the Berry Fanatic's house as she always heard lots about him growing up.

She walked down the road and found his house. She knocked on the door. Knock knock knock! She awaited an answer.

After a few minutes of waiting, the Berry Fanatic made it to the door and opened it up.
"Hello young Trainer," he said "Please come this way and I will tell you about berries.
He waited patiently for you to walk into his house with him.

"Hi!" Kennedy said cheerfully. And followed him in his house. "I'd love to know more about berries. Thanks!" She followed him and glanced over the house, she realized how much she missed home now.

"Well now it's time for my Berry Lesson!" the Berry Fanatic said. "Berries have many uses such as restoring Pokémon HP and MP, curing a stat problem such as burn, sleep, or poison, and some berries can make a special treat called Poffins or Pokéblocks. "Here's a picture of all the berries and their names. There are 56 berries in all."

Sam was finaly at the house. He knocks on the door and Ralts says something there she was sleeping on Sams shoulder. All sams other pokemon was in the backpack in there pokeballs. It did suprise him that he hadn't seen any other trainers almost on his jurney. When he started from Bridgepond town he was thinking he would meet a lot of people like him but right now it was no one. It did make him sad and his feelings did wake up Ralts. Ralts slowly open her eyes.

All of a sudden you spot a girl who was conversing with the Berry Fanatic. The trainer turned her head and spotted you and your Ralts.

"Wow, these berries look great, I'll be sure to look for them during my journey!" Kennedy said cheerfully. She noticed a young trainer walk in, he must have been around her age.

She looked to him and greeted him with a smile and said, "Ohh! Your Ralts is just adorable!" She excused herself from the Berry fanatic, and walked over to the boy. "Hi! I'm Kennedy, and you are...?" She said, still cheerful and full of energy. But before the boy could answer, she remembered the lesson she was getting from the fanatic, "Oh, wait ... actually, come with me!" She was persistent and brought him over to listen to the lesson as well.

Sam walks in and his eyes is looking around in the room and finaly his eye stopped on a girl. She was around Sams age or younger, maybe. He couldn't tell. When she says, "Ohh! Your Ralts is just adorable!" he answers with, "thanks I guess...". a little bit uncertain what to say.
"My name is Sam, what ok?!" Sam said then and started to follow Kennedy.
Ralts was now fully awake and excited over everything that happened.

The Berry Fanatic filled Sam in about the berries and their properties. Then he walked away from where they were all sitting and picked up something from a box. When he returned to the table he set two strange identical looking objects down.
"These devices are Berry Pots. I would like to give each of you one so you can grow berries."



"I will also give you a Berry Pouch so you can hold your Berries. Also from me you will get some Berries. Both of you will get 5 Oran Berries, 5 Sitrus Berries, and, 5 Watmel Berries. Last I will give both of you a Pokémon Egg! I don't know what's inside the eggs, but as Trainers you will have to figure that out on your own."
The Berry Fanatic set the Pokémon Eggs down on the table and waited for your replies.

Kennedy was in awe from all the items this man was giving them. "Thanks, so much sir!" She said trying to control herself from letting out a squeal of excitement. She gratefully accepted all of the gifts and placed each item in her pack accordingly, except for the egg. She wanted to hold the egg in case anything was to happen.

She was just saying her goodbyes to the kind man when she looked over to Sam. She stared at him for a second then had enough courage to ask, "So you are traveling alone, right? Well, so am I. Maybe want to travel together for a bit?" She placed a warm smile on her face then reached out her hand for a handshake.

Sam takes the stuffs they gets and puts them in the backpack. The egg was quite big and did fit in the backpack but it was no more space in the backpack now. He looks at Kennedy and shakes her hand a short time and says, "Sure, but what about an battle first? I haven't met another trainer to battle, except the gym leader in this town..." He puts the rucksack on and once again he thanks for all the stuffs.

Ralts wanted to play and tried to climb up for Sams head so maybe a battle would be great for him now.

"So are you two going to travel together?" the Berry Fanatic asked the both of you. "It's better to travel together for you never know what may happen on your travels."

Kennedy looked to the berry fanatic, then to Sam, "Yeah, I think we will. But as Sam said we are in need of a battle. May we use your back yard, sir?" Kennedy asked the fanatic, just to be sure it was alright.

"Sure," the Berry Fanatic said. "I'll hold on to your Pokémon Eggs as you two battle."
the Berry Fanatic escorted the both of you out of the back door of his house. The Berry Fanatic's backyard was full of vibrant green grass. On the side of the yard berry plants grew.

Sam follows berry fanatic to his backyard and goes to a place he thinks is a good place to start a battle. But then he remembers the egg and runs over with the rucksack to berry. Then he turns to Kennedy and says, "How many pokemons do we battle with? I got four pokemons..."
He was now back on the place he stood on before, ready to battle and three pokeballs on in his hands. Ralts looked around to see what happened and was verry excited. Now, Sam did just wait for kennedy to choose battle style, or maybe berry fanatic would choose that...

"I have three Pokemon, so how about just battle with three?" Kennedy asked. She smiled to Sam and stood in her place in the field. She grasped her first Pokeball, and waited for Sam's response.

Sam takes two pokeballs, Starlys ands spiritombs. "Ok, lets battle..." He says to Kennedy and Ralts walks infront of Sam. He was looking verry calm and now, what pokemons should kennedyu choose?

"Great! I'll use the Pokemon I have, Tauros, Shellos and Poochyena." Kennedy stood ready for battle and called out her Poochyena. He stood in battle stance copying Kennedy's and watched for the first Pokemon that Sam would call out.

Sam says to Ralts, "Ok Ralts, now we win this." Ralts Says "Ralts" and stands still looking at Poochyena. "Use growl" Sam said and Ralts growls against the other pokemon, hopefully it would scare Poochyena a bit...

Poochyena took a step back and looked to Kennedy. "Don't you listen to it Poochyena, I know you can do it. Use your Fire Fang attack, and quick!" Poochyena stood, still a bit scared, but after a few moments went into action. Fire burst in and around his teeth and with a deep snarl he raced towards Ralts!

The Fire Fang attack did some damage to Ralts but it got back up. It then looked at Sam and then back at Poochyena.

The poochyena did just come closer and closer towards Ralts in a high speed and it did hit ralts so he fell down on the ground. But Ralts stood up quick again. "Use youre quickattack!" Sam says to Ralts and Ralts starts to run against the other pokemon. Then sam takes up his pokedex to get some facts about the poochyena.

"Poochyena the Bite Pokémon," the Pokédex said. "Poochyena chases it's prey until the victim becomes exhausted."
Ralts's Quick Attack hit Kennedy's Poochyena and did a little damage. When Ralts's Quick Attack hit Poochyena's Fire Fang sunk into Ralts and did a lot of damage!

"Good job Poochyena! That's how we do it!" Kennedy called out in excitement. She thought for a second and with Fire Fang being the only attack that would cause a lot of damage she decided to try it again. "Okay Poochyena, let's try it again! Fire Fang on Ralts please!" Poochyena looked to Kennedy then with another snarl ran towards the Ralts.

"Ralts! Try to avoid the attack!" Sam yelled as quick as kennedy gave pochyenna orders. Ralts was verry weak and her speed was not that high compared to pochyennas. "Use Confusion after avoiding the attack!" Sam said after that...
