Meeting the Professor

"Today's the day" Solara said as she packed her belongings.
Riolu sat on Solara's bed waiting for his partner to get moving.
"Ri Riolu!" the Pokémon said.
"Hold on! I have to get some food and then we can go!"
"Riolu!"
"OK, OK!"
Solara grabbed some food out of the small refrigerator she keeps in her room. Afterwords she scooped Riolu onto her shoulder and walked into the living room.
"Mom, Dad I'm leaving!" Solara announced.
"Well good luck on your journey dear." Solara's mom said.
"Yes. Riolu, take care of Solara." Solara's dad ordered.
"Riolu!" the Pokémon replied with a firm tone.
"Bye!" Solara said as she sped out the front door with her Pokémon partner.

Solara immediately looked for a laboratory in the town. When she spotted it she went straight inside.
"Hello I'm Solara Hideki and I'm a new Trainer. Oh, and this is my first Pokémon, Riolu," Solara said as she saw the Professor in the back of his laboratory.

"Well hello there," the Professor said as she walked up to greet the new Trainer. "I'm Professor Melody and I study Pokémon behavior. So I assume you want my starter kit which contains 5 Antidotes, 5 Pokéballs, and 5 Potions. These are very important and try not to use them all up before you get to a pokéMart."

Solara accepted the supplies and put them into her book bag. She looked briefly at her Riolu who was standing on the window sill and looking outside. Solara looked at Professor Melody and then took a little bow.
"Thank you Professor," said.
"Ri Rilou!" Aura said as it jumped off of the window sill.
"Can you evaluate my Riolu Professor?" Solara asked.

"Well, your Riolu looks very healthy, but it needs a lot of time before it becomes even closer to you," Professor Melody said, "Here's a Pokédex. It's like an electronic Encyclopedia, but the pages are blank so I need you to fill them up."
